Our Story

From friendships across the islands, to a platform for moving together.

GBF was founded by five Gen Z friends who met through community service and volunteering on several islands. From that shared spirit, we built a platform that brings more people together for environmental work.

In August 2024, GBF began taking shape, seeing the potential and challenges of Lampung’s coastal ecosystem. Our first step was with the community at Cukunyinyi Mangrove, Sidodadi — and we keep growing with volunteers, communities, partners, and institutions.
